Early Walk-in Voting: August 1-11, 2016

If you are a Permanent Absentee Mail Voter you should be receiving your primary ballot. *Please mail your completed ballot in as soon as possible as it must be received by 6pm on Election Day to be counted. It must also be signed in order to be counted. Or you may take your ballot to Honolulu Hale (City Hall) or Kapolei Hale (Satellite City Hall) during early walk-in voting.

The deadline to apply for an absentee application for the primary is August 6, 2016. Call the City Clerk’s office.

This Primary election could decide the next mayor of Honolulu. If one of the three leading candidates garners 50% + 1 of the vote then he wins and does not have to compete in the General election. If none of them receive this amount then the two top vote-getters will go on to the General in November.
